Bangor Area Staffing is seeking candidates for an Accountant position for a manufacturing company. This position supports the CFO/HR Director. Tasks will include a variety of accounting tasks such as preparing financial statements, complete monthly close procedures, manage and maintain cost accounting system, etc. and assist with HR tasks plus as needed. This position has room to grow!
Requirements
Bachelor's degree, Accounting/Finance or related field. Minimum of 1-2 years accounting experience. Strong understanding of accounting theory. Computer experience: proficient Excel and intermediate level Word skills required. High attention to detail, accurate data entry and excellent interpersonal skills. HR knowledge a plus.

Good work references.

This full-time, Monday-Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm position will become permanent once probationary requirements are met. Benefits available when go permanent.

This position is a contract to permanent with full benefit package when go permanent. Great hours and pay! Monday thru Friday 8-4:30 pm. $15.00 to $19.00 an hour.

Tasks to include: Billing of claims to third party payers, A/R resolution, credit balance review, payment posting.
Requirements
Candidates must have medical Billing experience, great computer skills, i.e. Cerner and Excel and Word. Electronic Health Record (EHR) experience.
Must have HS diploma or equivalent. Must be able to meet background check.

Full-time, Contract to Hire opportunity!

Position works with other members of the Tax/Accounting team, and requires accurate compilation and reporting of accounting data, as well as assist the CFO and Sr. Staff Accountant with providing information for annual audits. Tasks to include:
Reconcile daily, weekly, monthly bank statements
Evaluate bank info. for account updates; communicate with other members of team for holds, tax payment delays, etc.
Complete daily journal entries to reconcile QuickBooks to client software
Balance client tax funds for new clients and terminating clients
Collect ACH returned items; transmit daily ACH files
Process Federal and State tax payments
Perform tax audits
Cross train with other members
Research & resolve client/system problems
