Human Resources Specialist in Bangor, ME 04401
BASS is recruiting for an experienced Human Resources Specialist to join our client's non-profit team that provides services to assist businesses, communities, and individuals with a diverse set of programs. The successful candidate for this Direct Hire position will be passionate about Human Resources and enjoy working in a fun, supportive environment. As part of your responsibilities, you will be maintaining employee records, assisting with recruitment processes, benefits, helping to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations. This position requires excellent organizational skills, the ability to multitask, and a strong understanding of HR policies and procedures.

Some of the essential tasks:

Assist with the recruitment process, including job postings, interviewing, and onboarding.
Maintain HR files, employee records in accordance with company policy and legal requirements.
Assist with employee benefits administration.
Process payroll and other HR-related paperwork.
Provide guidance and support to employees on HR policies and procedures.
Answer employee inquiries regarding benefits, payroll, and other HR topics.
To be a successful candidate you will have:

~Communication skills: Communicate well, both oral and written and listening skills.
~Dependable, ethical, and a team player who assists the organization meet the goals and vision.
~Computer skills, ability to adapt to new technology well.
~Detailed and able to plan and set goals.
~Degree not required if possess at least 5+ years of HR experience. Bachelor's degree in HR Management or related field and at least three years’ experience in the Human Resources field, or an equivalent combination of experience and education. Experience in a non-profit environment with 50+ employees preferred.
~PHR or other HR certifications preferred.
~Must have driver's license and reliable transportation and ability to occasionally travel between statewide office locations as needed.

Salary: $42,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year based on experience. Mon-Fri 8 am to 5 pm.
