Accounts Payable Specialist in Old Town, ME 04468
BASS is seeking experienced Accounts Payable candidates for our Old Town client. In this position you will assist with both accounting and clerical tasks related to the efficient processing of accounts payable transactions, and maintenance of files and supporting documentation. Monday-Friday, 8-5, with a full benefit package. $18-$20 per hour.

Some tasks to include:

-Sort, code and match invoices to POs and/or receiving documents.
-Review invoices for proper approval and required signatures then enter.
-Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues.
-Audit and code credit card bills.
-Enter invoices, generate checks and mail.
-Will assist with other administrative duties as needed such as:
-Process monthly reports, data entry, process orders.

-Knowledge/experience of accounts payable and accounts receivable
-Knowledge of general accounting procedures
-Knowledge of accounting software
-Proficient in data entry and management
-1-3 years accounts payable or general accounting experience

Direct Hire opportunity! The BASS team is recruiting an Assistant Controller for our client! In this position you will assist the Controller to prepare financial statements, evaluate market area budgets, and monitor all accounting-related activities within the organization.

The typical schedule for this position is Monday thru Friday, 8am-5pm, between 40-50 hours per week. Pay is $80k-95k per year, depending on experience! Our client also offers a full benefits package.

Some other duties include:
- Maintain internal controls in order to manage all aspects of the general ledger and prevent inaccuracies in financial statements.
- Assists with the monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close processes and analyses.
- Research accounting issues for compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.
- Develops written budgets and reports to best reflect and remain in accordance with client needs.
- Provide guidance and clarification for accounts receivable, account payable, and general accounting functions.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field required (Master's degree a plus)
- 5+ years of Accounting experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications, including a strong background with Excel
- Strong understanding of GAAP and regulations; Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes
- Excellent listening, communication, and problem-solving skills; Outstanding relationship management skills and ability to work as part of a team in a collaborative environment.
- Valid Driver's License required
- Must meet background check requirements

The BASS team is recruiting for an experienced Senior Accountant for our manufacturing client. In this Direct Hire career position you will be reporting to the CFO, where you will be responsible for organizing financial reports, analyzing cost estimates, reviewing budget goals, managing account reconciliations, preparing tax documents, maintaining audit records and balance sheets, generating invoices, and providing recommendations to maximize gains. This opportunity has potential to grown to the next level for the right candidate!

Some of the typical duties include:

-Prepare financial statements, Facilitate and complete monthly close procedures
-Prepare direct labor throughput analysis
-Prepare and publish monthly sales analysis, prepare commissions information
-Prepare monthly account reconciliations of various accounts
-Prepare and upload weekly payroll and monthly payroll
-Reconcile bank accounts, reconcile monthly insurance expense
-Assist with analyzing financial statements on a monthly basis and report variances and trends
-Assist with financial and tax audits

-Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting or finance
