Construction Analyst in Augusta, ME
Description
Full-time, Direct Hire! The Construction Analyst will review design and construction documents, specifications, construction cost estimates, and oversee multifamily housing construction to ensure quality standards, energy standards, construction standards, and applicable codes and regulations are met. The position requires extensive travel in the southern part of Maine, with statewide travel as needed. A company vehicle, computer equipment, and company cell phone are provided.

*Review for new construction, adaptive re-use of historic or other buildings, and
substantial rehabilitation of existing affordable multifamily housing projects.

*Work closely with staff, contractors, construction managers, developers, and design
professionals to ensure design and construction documents meet all applicable
federal, state, local and Client standards and codes.

*Conduct project site visits to confirm feasibility, appropriateness, and required
scope of work; prepare and issue comprehensive reports of review findings

*Review contracts, permits, performance guarantees, and other documents to safe guard
the interests of our Client, their partners and customers
*Conduct accessibility compliance inspections and document all findings
*Attend job meetings and review construction requisitions and change orders
*Review loan closing checklist items related to design and construction and provide
completed project sign-off recommendations to the Construction Services Manager
*Work closely with project development teams as a technical resource
*Conduct research and complete special projects as assigned
*Maintain digital project files and documentation
*Enter and maintain project-specific database information
*Other tasks as assigned

Very robust benefit package; $27.95/hr. starting salary
Requirements
Education and four years of design and/or construction experience or a combination of education, training, and experience preferred.

Certifications and Licenses:
A valid driver’s license. State certified Code Enforcement Officer, LEED Approved Design Professional, Certified Passive House Consultant, or the ability to attain a certification(s) within one year of hire.

Painting/Property Maintenance Position in Bangor, ME 04401
Description
Seeking full-time, Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm Painting/Property Maintenance person to assist in the maintaining apartments, offices, and grounds of our client's properties.

Candidates should have general property maintenance knowledge/experience. Primary tasks is painting and patching which requires good painting experience. Basic carpentry experience a plus (fix door, cabinet, replace trim, etc.).

Other duties to include: cleaning, hauling debris/trash, grounds keeping to include snow shoveling walks, and prepare apartments, etc. for new tenants.
Requirements
Candidates should have general property maintenance and painting experience, reliable vehicle, basic tools (hammer, measuring tape, screw driver, etc.), Meet background requirements. Must have a valid Driver's License. Must meet physical requirements of such a position, lifting up to 60 lbs., bend, reach, stand, crouch, and grasp.

Project Manager - Remodel/Restoration in Hampden, ME 04444
Description
BASS is recruiting for an Project Manager for our client, a Maine owned restoration business. Applicants bring the ability to estimate remodel/restoration/cleaning jobs; the manage those projects through completion.

This Direct Hire opportunity has a typical schedule is Monday thru Friday 6:30 am-4pm, while being part of the team alternating the on-call schedule nights and weekends for emergency projects. Yearly salary based on experience with commission opportunity! Our client offers benefits to include health insurance, etc.

Some of the key responsibilities:
-Coordinate and manage crews on the jobsites to ensure quality completion of the work in a timely manner
-Coordinate subcontractors; ensure their paperwork accurate and current throughout a job
-Coordinate with the Project Coordinator on collection of all funds
-Inspect job sites, prepare accurate job estimates and negotiate with potential clients. Document all information including notes, photos, signed authorizations, etc.
-Provide excellent customer service while working with the customers, insurance companies, mortgage companies, realtors, TPAs., etc.
Requirements
- Proven knowledge/experience in remodeling/construction projects.
- Familiarity with estimating, blueprints, schematics, and construction documentation.
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Supervisory skills to led teams to ensure quality work and projects meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Proficient math skills in regards to estimates, expenses and job costing
- High school diploma or equivalent
-Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary service
-Good computer knowledge, Xactimate experience a plus
-Must possess driver's license with clean driving record
